To CCTE Members, Delegates, and Friends:
The California Council on Teacher Education will hold its Spring 2026 SPAN Conference on March 23-24. This will be the tenth annual CCTE SPAN (Spring Policy Action Network) Conference as we continue to pursue and fine-tune our efforts to augment the voice of teacher education with policymakers.
Please find attached in PDF format the formal announcement of the CCTE Spring 2026 SPAN Conference, which will be held at the Sacramento City Library Galleria near the Capitol in Sacramento as well as virtually. The PDF includes a preview of the conference, the tentative program, the registration form, the call for contributing to The Change, and the call for research proposals.
You are encouraged to register for the Conference now to take advantage of the discounted early-bird registration rates that are available until January 15. Either complete the accompanying registration form and mail it in with your registration fee or if you wish to pay by credit card use the on-line registration portal on the “SPAN 2026 Conference” page of the CCTE website at www.ccte.org. If you use the on-line registration, please also complete and email to me (alan.jones@ccte.org) your completed registration form.
Please also note that the deadline for proposals for research presentations as part of SPAN 2026 is January 25. As outlined in the call for proposals any topics related to teacher education research, practice, or policy will be welcomed and considered for the program.
In addition to on-site participation in Sacramento there is also an option for virtual registration offering an opportunity to listen to and watch many of the conference sessions and participate in a virtual legislative office visit.
All of this information is also available on the CCTE website on the SPAN 2026 page.
Please share this information with your colleagues.
We look forward to your participation in SPAN 2026.
