Send the chair an email message with your questions.

Purpose

Started August of 2025, the Advocacy Committee grew from the Multilingual work being done in collaboration with Senator Padilla’s office and his staff member, Andrew Carrillo. Furthermore, a need was identified for CCTE to meet with legislators regularly and identify “who we are and why we matter.” It is critical that policymakers come to CCTE to learn about teaching and teacher education.

Updates

  • Upcoming document: The document “Who We Are and Why We Matter” is being developed by the Advocacy Committee to provide to policymakers when our group meets with them.
  • Meetings: We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 am.
