Book Announcement: Mistakes We Have Made: Implications for Social Justice Educators

Hello Colleagues,

I wanted to share with CCTE that the second edition of Mistakes We Have Made: Implications for Social Justice Educators will be out in August. So many CCTE authors are contributors to this text! This SPE award-winning book is great for classroom engagement, culturally sustaining practices, pre-service teacher intro courses, and any social justice course that focuses on responsive/inclusive practices. You can preorder here!

Also, in such a turbulent time for Trans folx, we wanted to share our book once again to help get it in hands of accomplices. T is for Thriving: Blueprints for Affirming Trans* and Gender Creative Lives and Learning in Schools provides lesson plans in many content areas for all grade levels. The SPE award-winning book is supplemented with Trans* and Gender Creative vignettes throughout to tie together the need for us to celebrate and affirm our T*GC students in schools. The time is now for a book like this! It can be implemented in several methods courses, gender and women studies courses, and any cultural sustaining pedagogy course that focuses on belonging and inclusive instruction. Order today!

I am happy to provide book talks or help with getting desk copies! Thank you for your time!
