Dear CCTE Community,
I am excited to share this AACTE EdPrepMatters Blog Post with you all. For over 16 months, CCTE has had a multilingual coalition working with Senator Alex Padilla’s office. Our purpose has been to support Senator Padilla in developing and writing a Federal Multilingual Bill. As part of this effort, our multilingual coalition brought to the conversation various stakeholders, including teacher candidates, administrators, and superintendents, as well as model preparation programs to ensure we were fully representing the programs and individuals who serve and prepare multilingual PK-12 students. Our coalition has been focused and dedicated to these advocacy efforts, while learning lessons along the way.
