Introducing Roadmaps for Resilience: A  Project of the CCTE JEDI Committee

As the political climate grows hostile and uncertain, the simple act of making a list can restore a sense of clarity and control. The two visual roadmaps attached to this message are designed to support educators, scholars, and activists who are committed to social justice and critical inquiry—and who may be seeking guidance on how to safeguard both their work and their well-being.

The first roadmap speaks directly to teacher educators, offering strategies for protecting pedagogical choices, preparing candidates for scrutiny, and sustaining courageous, equity-driven teaching in a charged educational environment. The second roadmap is for any public-facing educator or advocate, outlining steps to protect your voice, your presence, and your professional integrity—while continuing to challenge systems of oppression.

These are not exhaustive lists. They are starting points—meant to ground us in care, community, and strategy, especially when so much feels out of our hands.
